RF interference disrupts communication and increases your costs. In extreme circumstances it will cause communication failure. IM Optimizer TM will prevent or resolve this.

IM Optimizer TM uses the powerful and accurate InterMod60 engine to improve radio performance and provide a more cost effective network solution.

IM Optimizer TM analyzes the performance of the handheld/mobile as it is impacted by nearby active transmitters. This analysis enables the network to be assessed from the viewpoint of its most important perspective, the user.

Identify & eliminate blackspots!

Transmitters using similar frequencies can cause mutual interference, particularly when the carriers are operating different technologies with significantly different transmitting powers. Where a weaker transmitting carrier is attempting to communicate with a mobile in the vicinity of a strong transmitting carrier, a near/far scenario can occur where Intermodulation, Wideband Noise and/or Receiver Spurious Noise block communication on one or more of the mobiles channels.

For Public Safety officials in the USA “blackspots” present a severe problem. When the control channel of the PS radio is disrupted the PS radio will cease to function.

The existence of blackspots is a well recognized fact within the Public Safety community. Unfortunately blackspots are difficult to predict and often only become know when a Public Safety mobile ceases to operate and a first responder is placed at risk.

IMOptimizer TM Predicts

  • Receiver Intermodulation
  • Passive Intermodulation
  • Rx Wideband Noise
  • Rx Spurious Noise

Data is presented for each interfering carrier contributor and summarized per channel.

IMOptimizer TM has the power to identify blackspots, develop solutions to resolve them and if used during network design, prevent their occurrence.
